Keke Wyatt, the renowned singer, seems to be hinting at a new relationship just as the summer begins. Fans were left puzzled when footage of Wyatt enjoying a night out with a man, presumed to be her new partner, emerged on social media.
However, this development raised eyebrows as no public announcement had been made about the end of her marriage to her third husband, Zackariah David Darring. The couple, who tied the knot in October 2018, share two biological children, Ze’Kyah Jean and Ke’Riah David. Wyatt also has nine other children from her previous marriages to Michael Jamar Ford and Rahmat Morton. One Instagram user commented, “She’s proof that those kids ain’t stopping NOTHING!” The conversation quickly shifted to Darring’s current status. “I thought she was still married. I’m behind!” wrote one user, while another asked, “But where is yo husband???”
Wyatt herself shared a similar clip from the same outing, carefully ensuring the new man’s face was not visible. Despite her efforts to keep things private, her followers were keen to uncover details about her love life. Comments such as “Harpo who dis man” and “you gotta another man,” flooded her post.
Less than a year ago, Wyatt had an interview with Atlanta Black Star where she spoke warmly of Darring, describing how her hit duet with Avant, “My First Love,” resonated with her more deeply because of their relationship. Wyatt and Darring were childhood friends who first dated when she was in the seventh grade and reconnected over a decade ago. “I’m with my first love again,” she shared, though she humorously noted that he sometimes got on her nerves.
“If I had known that being with him — I’m just playing. No, like formal, like, everybody doesn’t get that and it’s so — you know, when I was 13 he was my little boyfriend, and honey, he couldn’t do nothing wrong. Now, he’s my husband and he does everything wrong, but I love it. He does everything right, I’m just playing. He just get on my nerves,” she said, reflecting on their journey together.
Wyatt has been open about the challenges she faces with their youngest son, Ke’Zyah, who was born with Trisomy 13, a genetic disorder causing severe health complications. During a live chat, she mentioned handling most of the child’s care alone when their medical aide was not present, which gave no indication that Darring was absent from their lives. In fact, he has often been praised by fans for his active role in raising all 11 children. The family even appeared together on Wyatt’s reality show, “Keke’s World,” which aired last year on We TV.
Currently, Wyatt’s social media is devoid of recent content featuring Darring. Instead, her posts highlight her children, various performances, and moments from her life, with no trace of her husband. Darring, who does not have an Instagram account, has remained silent, offering no clarity on the state of their marriage.
