In a viral TikTok video, user @emgwaciedawgie humorously commented, “I love when I see a lesbian with their boyfriend. It’s like ‘Aww, you hate that man. You literally hate him.'” Fox saw this as an opportunity to reveal her own experience. She stitched the video, responding with, “Hey, that was me. I was that lesbian. So sorry, boys. During a 2022 appearance on the talk show “Ziwe,” she shared that she had been contemplating dating women, suggesting that her ex-boyfriends’ accusations of her being a lesbian might not have been entirely off the mark. “Maybe my ex-boyfriends weren’t wrong when they were calling me a lesbian and complaining that I never wanted to have sex with them,” she mused.

She revealed that she had been celibate for over two and a half years, a decision influenced by personal and societal factors. Reflecting on this choice, Fox quipped during an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen” in May, “I just think nothing good comes from having sex, including children. No, I’m just kidding. I think with the overturning of Roe v. Wade and our rights being stripped away from us, this is a way that I can take back the control. And it just sucks that it has to be in that way, but I just don’t feel comfortable until things change.”
Fox didn’t set a specific end date for her celibacy, noting that it had lasted much longer than she initially anticipated. “It was six months and then it was a year and then I’m like, ‘Oh my god, it’s almost two and a half years and it’s still going,'” she explained. When asked by Cohen if she missed sex, Fox admitted, “No. In the beginning, yes, but I think it’s just like getting over anything, smoking, drugs, whatever it may be. Eventually, you just forget and all that energy you were putting toward sex you can put toward other things.”
